Name Drop Adds to the Trophy Cabinet for John Henry

The Fourstardave Handicap – Grade I (P2) [BC]
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $500.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Name Drop John Henry Gallardo A A

This trainer has spent some big money on some big horses but this horse reminds us all that grade one winners can be bought at a far more reasonable price. An astute auction purchase at only $40 he has been brought back to his best after a very impressive win in a finishing time that made a good few sit up and take notice. He will go forward to the BC now although being a four year old he will have the almost impossible task of beating three year olds with a weight allowance and we must remember that he was only carrying 116Lbs today, the lowest of all the runners.

2nd Controlled Power Spankys Barn Prat F

This great old campaigner went to the front and disputed or led the whole way only getting beaten inside the distance. He doesnt win often these days but proves once again that he is capable of big runs and you can never write him off.

3rd = By Design Mb Stables Carmouche K

The fact that this is a computer game is never more apparent when you compare this horses last two performances. In his last start he was given a fast instruction otherwise known as rabbiting and ended up running 1.35.57 for the mile and beaten 12 lengths. Today with a more sensible instruction he ran 1.32.67 for the mile and was beaten a length in third a time that would have won that last start by a length or two. Thats how easy it is to effect results here at HRP but with no stewards it is not something that will change anytime soon.

3rd = Snakie Authorization Blushing Meadows Bravo J

Considering he was drawn ten he ran a cracker to be third after being used by the race engine as the pacemaker. This result is somewhat of a vindication for his trainer who spent a fair bit to get this horse but will be pleased he is starting to live up to that price tag.
