NY Stallion Series- Your Biscuits
AQU- For Three Year Olds Foaled In NY
Six and a Half Furlongs on the Dirt
April 11, 2026
Your Biscuits are ready on Saturday, as this $200.000 State Bred stake at AQU will be taking place under its new name for the first time. The race is formerly known as the NY Stallion Series- Times Square. This is the 17th time that the stake has been run, and the purse has been constant at $200.000 since 2019, when it had increased from $100.000. Last year’s race was won by Scotch N Soda, for Angelos Stable, a still active gelding that has not returned to stake level after that win. Nine are scheduled to take part, so let’s take a look at them now:
1- Tanking (Maxmillion Farm, ridden by L J Luzzi)- A regular when it comes to running in State Bred, as all but his debut race have been with this condition. He’s only won once in his eight career starts, but has still been able to regular cash checks, as he has hit the board five times. Those finishes are mainly in allowances, and he has had two very close calls here in his last two starts. His stake attempts have not been as good, but he deserves more chances like this one.
2- Liberty Street (D J C Racing Stables, ridden by J Lezcano)- Making his fourth career start, and third since D J C was able to claim him for a mere $5.000 last fall. He would not race right away after that and would break his maiden at the bullring of CT at the start of February. Followed that up with a solid runner up performance at FG in an allowance. This will be the first time that he is tested at this level, and he has been working well in preparation for it.
3- Cringey (Choppy Inc, ridden by Jam Rodriguez)- You may remember seeing him here just two weeks ago running in a N1X allowance where he finished third. That was his first race for the trainer after he was acquired in the March auction for $30.760. With his previous trainer, he had been entered in a couple of stakes, including the Grade 1 Breeders Futurity, but they were probably a little too much for him at that time. Should be ready to go despite the shorter turnaround time.
4- Hunter (Family Racing, ridden by K Davis)- Broke his maiden in October at FL in what was his first race for Family Racing after being a $20.000 auction purchase. Since then, the trainer has been hunting another win with Hunter, but the gelding has not delivered. His two races as a three-year-old have not been good, as he placed sixth at GP twice, both while sprinting and when attempting to stretch out. Works can be solid but also look a little inconsistent. Hunter will need to bring his best on Saturday.
5- Fear Of Walking Dead (Big Guns Stables, ridden by R Gutierrez)- The third horse in a row that was bred by Aer Stables, and this one had a large purchase price to switch trainer hands. After his debut, Fear Of Walking Dead was sold for $500.000 in July. His three-year-old season has been spent in KYD preps, and the last two races have been a particular struggle. This will be only the second time that he has sprinted and adds are scheduled to revert back to what had worked on the track prior to the last two races.
6- Eternal One (TwinTowersRacing, ridden by D Davis)- This horse may be another example of a geld really paying dividends. Prior to the snip, Eternal One was unable to break his maiden and had come off a particularly ugly performance at TUP. He was gelded before he went to sleep that night and has since responded with back-to-back wins. Most recently, he was down at TAM and won an optional claimer. Now, he’ll look to stay hot as he steps up in class.
7- Lesnar (Royalty Stables, ridden by J Rosario)- This will be the first time that Lesnar has been in a sprint since last October. Royalty Stables was hoping that he could join Hurts in the KYD, but Lesnar would be body slammed by the competition, though he did at least cash a fourth-place check in the SUN Derby. After a mediocre showing in the VA Derby, Lesnar will be cutting back, and he does have good six-furlong work times.
8- Mind Over Mane (Mb Stables, ridden by J J Castellano)- Looking to break his maiden in the Your Biscuits. The trainer attempted to the same with him in the VA Derby last time out, but after setting the early fractions, he tired out. He’s only made three starts to this point, and has never run less than seven furlongs, so maybe cutting back will help. This isn’t a soft field, so despite his strong works and coming out of this barn, it’s still a tough ask.
9- Yankee Proud (Temulac Farm, ridden by F Prat)- In nine starts, Yankee Proud has been as inconsistent as Yankee hitting in the first couple weeks of the season. He’s won four times in nine tries, including the $100.000 Aspirant Stakes at FL last September. Unfortunately, when he is not winning, he struggles, with four finishes of sixth of worse. Three of those have come in his last five starts, which encompasses his career with Temulac Farm. Like the Yankees offense, you know they can break out at any time, and Yankee Proud seems quite similar.
Prediction: 1-6-5-3
