Three Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares

Only a small field of five could be rounded up for this years running of the grade three Gallorette over the Pimlico turf course. It is a small field but it’s at least part of the Preakness undercard so it is still a nice race.

1. Here Z Comes (7-3-1-2 $79.130), trained by First Street Stables

First up here and this filly will be coming into the race off of a win against allowance company at Golden Gate. She tried stakes races before that with no success but this small field should give her a decent chance to win.

2. Czarina (9-4-1-0 $177.080), trained by La Canada Racehorses

A stakes winning filly here who is coming into the race off of a win in an allowance race at Woodbine. She did win a stake last year on off going. I do think that she will be pretty tough to beat in here.

3. Envy (6-3-0-1 $100.380), trained by Mo Mentum Farm

Coming off of two wins in a row here including the Golden Poppy at Golden Gate in her last start against older fillies and mares. That was a nice win and if she can improve a little more off of that she will be very tough.

4. Never Enough (7-3-2-1 $92.440), trained by Mb Stables

Next up here and she has yet to win a stake even with multiple placings in other stakes races. She has been knocking on the door and I think with a small field this it is a perfect opportunity to get a stakes win for her.

5. Broomstick Hero (21-9-2-4 $315.790), trained by Axeman

The lone older filly in the race here and she is coming into this race off of three wide open allowance victories in a row. She dominated last out and has a ton of back class so I think she is the horse to beat in this one.

Summary

The only non three year old is my top choice and she looks the horse to beat in here to me anyways. Anything can happen with a small group like this so it wouldn’t surprise me if any of them won. Good luck to all in the field.
