Kent Stakes – Grade III
1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st       Owens         Mb Stables          Pimentel J

Found the spot in the stalk and ran exactly as required to run out a slightly comfortable half length winner. He is not the quickest of finishers but is very game when in a fight and things went perfectly in this race for him. I think this is about the best of him at the moment, but the trainer has found the formula to get him to run a better early pace and he may go on from here.

2nd       Insist On Perfection       Maxmillion Farm       Pedroza B

Raced with the winner in his sights the whole way and stuck on well but couldn’t muster the pace to go past it. This was a far effort and there may be more to come but i am sure after spending $220 the trainer was hoping for a bit more.

3rd         Ptyrannical         Arindel              Cedillo A

Whacked away in a bit of a distant third and i must admit i expected a little more from this former TC hope.

4th        Out Hoofed       TwinTowersRacing      Sanchez M J

This was probably the best he could have hoped for on form. Tracking mid pack he never really made much of a dent in the leaders and just kept trucking on for fourth.
