Pip Kadabra is Magic in the Flower Bowl

The Flower Bowl – Grade I (P3) [BC]
1 1/4 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $500.00 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Pip Kadabra, trained by Chili King Stables
There was a Zenyata like quality in the way this filly trailed the field and then sliced through them like butter and ran out an easy winner. The end margin was three lengths and whilst she has some very good grade one form this was a real step up on that. Whether it was the trip that looks made for her or the easy surface we wont really know but the way she won today will make her a real market mover for the Fillies and Mares BC race.

2nd Eastern Sky, trained by Maxmillion Farm
She stayed on well for second but didnt go through the ground as well as the winner. She was clear of teh third so i wouldnt be writing her off for the BC just yet but it is clear the ground will have to be fast for her to show her best.

3rd Condottieris Fox, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
Moved up with a serious looking challenge around the mile mark but flattened out under pressure and ended up six lengths off the winner in third. She does have wet ground form so you cant blame the soft going so its probably safe to assume that this is her best effort in this grade these days.

4th Good Line, trained by Mb Stables
This was the first run for the BEL Oaks winner on soft ground and it looks pretty clear she doesnt like it. Eight lengths back in fourth we can forget the margin but unless we see sunshine on BC day i think she may struggle to come back from this.
