Pip Kadabra Out-Stays Them All to Be The Very One

The Very One – Grade III
1 3/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Pip Kadabra, trained by Chili King Stables
Backed into an odds on favourite despite being beaten in an overnight last time out she managed to gain a half length win in a decent stretch run. She was always all about stamina and that is what won the race in the end. This is her first triple digit speed figure and with that and improving work times she looks the sort that will end up in the BC Fillies and mares picture by the end of the summer.

2nd Swarley Kapai, trained by Our Athletes
This was a big effort from the wide gate and she looks to be every bit as good as she was last year when she won two grade twos in a row.

3rd Volare, trained by Axeman
The old girl stayed closer to the pace today but still didnt have the juice in her legs to beat off the youngsters. She is sure to remain competitive but she doesnt look to be the force she once was but i wont be writing her off in any fillies distance races this year.

4th Congratulations, trained by Blushing Meadows
Flew the gates and went into a clear lead for the first mile. In the end she kept on pretty well to be fourth beaten just a length and she too will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the season.

SUMMARY
As close as expected i would imagine any of the first six placings will be reversed a few times before the season end.
