Profound Connection, breaking from post four, out-dueled stablemate Makitas Halo early and made every pole a winner as she took the 5-furlong $100.000 Lightning City at TAM.  Saturday’s win was the second of her career and improved her ledger to 20-2-4-4 with earnings of $147.820.

The field broke in pairs as Profound Connection and Makitas Halo went to the front as No Drama and Art Of Laughter tracked the leaders.  Profound Connection made quick work of Makitas Halo as she took the field through fractions of :22.51 and :45.24 and set sail for home with a clear lead.  The winner crossed the wire in :57.19 as she held off a late rally by Art Of Laughter to win by a neck.  Another half-length back, stablemates Makitas Halo and No Drama dead-heated for the show honors.
