Three Year Olds Fillies

1st Proud Eights, trained by Team 7 Illusions

A very nice performance right here by this filly as she absolutely loved the soft going and made a very nice closing kick to blow by most of the field to win by half a length. She made up six lengths from the top of the lane to the wire which was very impressive. She ran the race in 1:44.78 and earned $150.000 for the win.

2nd Flying Nun, trained by D J C Racing Stables

A last to second run from this filly here as she was dead last early on and made up about six lengths down the stretch to get up for second. She liked the soft turf pretty good and definitely ran pretty much a winning race but just couldn’t go with the winner. A very nice runner up effort right here.

3rd Easier Said, trained by Mb Stables

Well this runner from Mb Stables out finished her stablemate by one spot with a decent finish from about midpack early on. She was sitting a good spot but just didn’t have enough punch to get up for the win. She did get up for third though and it seemed the off track did not bother her too much.

4th Made It Through, trained by Mb Stables

The stablemate to the third place finisher right here and she did not run too bad of a race either. She was a little closer than her stablemate but was out finished by her. She seemed to mind the off track enough but just did not have enough punch to crack into the top three. Still a decent fourth nonetheless.

Summary

Well with the rain down pouring over Churchill Downs there was a couple of scratches including the likely favorite but that does not take away from the winner at all. She ran a huge race and loved the off track conditions as she galloped away to a half length win. Congratulations to Proud Eights and Team 7 Illusions.
