Questionable Beats the Draw to Be Canadian Champion

The Queens Plate Stakes (P5)
1 1/4 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $1,000.000 Open 3 Year Olds Foaled In Canada.

1st Questionable Mb Stables Bejarano R

I said in my write up for this race that the draw was the only thing that would make it hard for this horse and sure enough though he finally got up to win by a neck the wide trip certainly made him work hard for it. This was handsome reward for Bejarano who was beaten a neck in the BC Juvenile last year on this horse the last time he rode it but today he prevailed by the same margin in a driving finish. It will be interesting to see how he measures up to the TC stars as the BC looms.

2nd Burning Approval Mb Stables Talamo J

The winner of just one before this race and beaten a nose in the Plate Trial i thought he had it approaching the final furlong but his stable companion was just strong enough. How many times have we seen an Mb Stables one two in these 1K races, i dont know how he manages to get one home in these scrum like races but to get two home is nothing short of masterful.

3rd Born To Laff Joshua Stables Ortiz I Jr

Beat Burning Approval in the Plate Trial but couldnt do it today running on late for a close third. This was another good effort and he looks set up now to take on the older horses in these longer distance routes.

4th Lionking Invader Estero Farms Velazquez J R

Came from a long way back to be fourth just beaten a length. This sort of effort puts him in the mix if he can get his running style sorted out and there is no doubt he has the ability to add to his single stakes success so far.
