The tote-board was lit-up in Saturday’s The TAM Stakes (GIII) as Maxmillion Farms’ Roodey kept his hot hand going and won this mile and a sixteenth turf stakes by a length in a final time of 1:39.00.  Regret Nothing, dismissed at 21/1 odds was close up throughout but had to settle for the second spot, three-quarters of a length better than rank-outsider Atomic Eclipse, sent off at 47/1.  He was a quarter length better than 29/1 Neon World in fourth.  Only eight lengths covered the field of twelve while the 3/1 favorite finished ninth and the 7/2 second favorite was tenth.

Roodey is a bay 5yo gelded son of Bronx Bomber – Spotted Cobra, by King Cobra, and he was bred in NY by Aer Stables.  Acquired by Maxmillion Farm via Private Purchase for $35.000 back in July of 2020, he now has nine wins from twenty-five starts and has a single fourth under the care of the current conditioner, along with six wins and five runner-up efforts… quite an accomplishment.  He now has lifetime earnings of $541.680.  Congrats to the connections!

Roodey just in behind the pace 2p, asked and responded when entering the far turn fanning 5p for the drive, battled thru the lane kicking clear late.  Regret Nothing rail trip tracking the leader to the far turn, 2p for the drive and battled foe to the sixteenth pole, ceded.  Atomic Eclipse mid-pack 3p, lost some ground down the backside drifting back through the field, moved widest picking up foes through the far turn, continued widest through the lane in a good try.  Neon World raced mid-pack while securing a rail position through the clubhouse turn and down the backside, moved to 4p splitting foes into the lane, evenly from there.  Mr Scratch set the pace to the top of the lane, headed, tired.  Carved In Stone showed little interest, passed tiring rivals late.  Plucky Flash pressed the leader until midway on the far turn, tired.  Day Tribe wide trip, mid-pack to the far turn, tired.  Sensei was never a threat.  Moonlight Special was outrun.  Out Of Step trailed much of the way.  Religion some early interest, folded turn.
