1st Lucifers Wings, trained by Paradise Stable

A very impressive performance here from the favorite as she just went ahead and went gate to wire which usually doesn’t happen. She ran a very big race in here and won very impressively in my opinion. She stopped the clock in 1:22.01 for the seven furlongs and earned $60.000 to her bankroll.

2nd Theatre Music, trained by Smokey Stover

The statebred form almost got the job done in here as she tried to win this race from about midpack. I didn’t know how well her statebred form would hold up but it did a lot better than I thought it would. She ran a very game second but in the end wasn’t enough to handle the runaway winner.

3rd Validation, trained by Team 7 Illusions

This filly didn’t run all that bad really to get third but she wasn’t going to beat the top two with the way they ran. I do think if she’s not a turf filly she at least wants to go a route of ground more than she wants to sprint. But she’s graded stakes placed now and that will add to her value.

4th Ineffable, trained by TwinTowers Racing

Another one who I think relishes a route of ground but she didn’t run too bad either. She was a little bit back in the field and didn’t necessarily have a huge punch too catch the top three that’s for sure. It wasn’t a bad race from her but I think if the race was over a route of ground she would’ve been tougher.

Summary

This winner just ran one helluva race that’s for sure to go gate to wire which is pretty much impossible to do. It was pretty much over after that first quarter went so slow and she was on an easy lead. The winner was very impressive in here and congratulations to all the runners who got a piece.
