Well with everything working very similar times and all maiden winners these races can look like a lottery before the off. This looked too hard to call before the race but afterwards this home bred from the under rated la Canada Racehorses came out on top with a strong one length win and looks well above average. Getting a nice spot from her mid pack draw she ran a very nice 1.09 and 2 in winning and as HRP races go a length is about as clear cut as it gets. This ones got some nice lines that don’t have the usual look at about them so i think she will be a very popular broodmare choice when the times comes and this win will certainly help that value.

Stalked the lead but had no answers when the winner swept up but she still looks a very nice $25 buy at a time when two year olds are selling for ten or twenty times that amount. More traditional Charley Farley and Commanding lines here she ran well enough to get another chance at some juvenile black type.

This trainer is always a threat in good races and played the draw perfectly by sending this filly to the front where she ran a very strong pace and only gave way in the final furlong. A beautiful looking filly she has Commanding both sides of her pedigree and looks a really fast filly who will take her place nicely in this stable.

Ran a great race from a nightmare draw but could only manage fourth. A well named filly she is another that features some interesting lines without going down the traditional route and i suspect there is more to come from her.
