6 WO Pattison Canadian International (GI)
$1,000.000 3yo&Up 1 1/2m Turf 3yo 120lbs Older 123lbs
The tote-board got a bit a bit of a workout in the Pattison Canadian International (GI) as post time favorite Technic just never got into gear and Estero Farms’ Sunlander ran a huge race to take the win by two lengths at nearly 8/1 odds. The final running time for the mile and a half marathon was 2:242 on the firm WO turf. Mb Stables took the second and third spots as Workload beat his stable-mate Bring The Pain by a half length, then another neck back to Maniaco del Controll in fourth.
Sunlander is a 4yo bay gelded son of Go Cards – Outlander, by Charley Farley, and this was his fifth win from seventeen starts. This was his first win of the season, and takes his lifetime earnings up to $1,163.600. If you’re going to win one, this was a good place to get the job done.
