Sweet Oly Bounces Back in Muskoka Stakes

Muskoka Stakes
6 1/2 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $200.000 Filly 2 Year Olds Foaled In Canada.

1st Sweet Oly, trained by Fractious
This fairly easy win really does raise plenty of questions about her performance in the Adirondack. Winning in the same time as the winner of that race over the same distance she ran 7 lengths better today, was it a change in instructions? Do they make THAT much difference or is it down to ‘two year old inconsistency’. Whatever the reason she was very solid today and looked like the filly that had won the My Dear equally impressively the time before. A mile looks like it is not beyond her and she looks to have a bright future.

2nd Young Poppy, trained by Threshold
3 runs, 3 seconds, this filly ran on well to run second but remains a maiden, but surely for not much longer.

3rd Commanding Rose, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Won the Nandi in the mud and showed speed again today but was a shade one paced at the end.

4th Rainy Day Woman, trained by John Henry
Stalked the lead but couldnt quicken and although she has some good form she doesnt look like she has that oh so important ‘heart’ gene.
