Team 7 Takes Head Bobber in The Biogios Rose

The Biogios Rose
1 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $100.000 Filly & Mare 4 Year Olds And Up Foaled In NY.

I was watching a rather interesting video the other day which detailed how slot machine makers manage to create slot machines that give so many ‘near’ misses and yet still give an equal and fair chance to the player without hindering the integrity of the machine. As i viewed this race it made me think of that video because even with 6Lbs between the top weight and bottom weight, even with the difficulties with the draw and even with the spread of ability this entire field still finished within a length of each other. Now i am not saying in any way that horse racing is like a slot machine but i do see so many close finishes in these types of races that it just made me think for a while as i prepared to write about this race.
At the end of the day though i think the result was the right one despite the closeness and thats the important thing at the end of the day.

1st On The Flop Team 7 Illusions Lezcano J

This very consistent filly carried her penalty well traveling nicely in behind the pace setters and timing her run to perfection. There was only a nose in it at the line but you have to admire what this filly achieved in recording her seventh career win. I guess from here with the penalty system at this level she will have to step up to graded level but i do feel she could do that, certainly on the lower steps.

2nd Frenched Sorrow Ace Racing Stable Davis D

This was a great claim for the owner and she surely must win a race like this before long after going down narrowly in her second stakes race. It really was a head bobber on the line and she just missed out but you get the feeling that her next start may bring a victory.

3rd Spicy Junction Arindel Franco M

Missed out ina tight finish just a half length back at the end. She is another consistent sort and i am sure she will be a contender in these NY state bred races through the season.

4th Miffie Night Rider Stables Cancel E

The maiden in the race did very well to be beaten less than a length and she must be very close to opening her account now. A statebred maiden looks hers for the taking unless the stable wants to shoot high again.
