Ten to the Gate in Overskate Stakes at WO

Winter will be coming soon up here in Canada, but we have a nice field of ten ON-bred males set to go the seven and a half furlong distance on the WO turf in the Overskate Stakes.  Nothing really jumps out at me as a heavy favorite in this one but I gave the edge to Mojave Rattler off of his recent graded efforts.  This is softer than that  and it may be a spot for the connections to get back part of the $225.000 that they paid for him two starts back.  Both of those were graded tries and he certainly didn’t embarrass himself, only getting beat a length in that pair of starts.  I’ll put Private Cool Cat in the second spot as he dominated here vs. similar back in July taking the Shepperton Stakes by eight lengths.  Another one like that that should put him in the thick of it.  This is anyone’s race to win, so let’s see how it plays out.
