The gelding got a sweet trip just behind the leaders and went on with it for a game win. The wet track may have helped but he ran in the Sanford on an off track and didn’t win so maybe he isn’t a natural wet tracker which would make this win better. He seems to like a mile plus which will stand him in good stead over the next few months and if he comes on from this could make an outside TC chance.

2nd   Tiger Shark      Arindel         Garcia Mar

It can be tough coming from behind these days and this one got a little too far back early on before making nice ground late on. this was a decent effort by a horse that seems to stay well but he will need to find just a little improvement to break into this level.

3rd    Paco         D J C Racing Stables        Bridgmohan S X

Made the race engine look like the old one by leading out from the wide gate and weakening late. He had to go pretty quick in the first quarter to get the front and that may have blunted his stamina down the stretch, still this wasn’t a bad effort from a horse that has been pretty busy over the past few months.

4th   Tribal Politics        Sccj Stables      Saez L

I know the trainer may have been a little disappointed by this run but with the track so wet it is hard to take much away from this race other than some horses get get through a wet track. Second up he was a bit flat today but until he runs on better going we wont really know how good he can be.
