The Turf Dash Looks Like a Turf Walk for the BC Champ

The Turf Dash
TAM Race #6 5f Turf Stake
Purse $100.000 For Four Year Olds And Upward.

1 Regret Nothing Maxmillion Farm Hernandez

This five year old has won route stakes on turf and dirt and now goes to try and do the same in sprints and it would seem a highly possible feat at HRP especially when you look at this last effort. Flying home in the GP Turf Sprint he ran 56.33 in defeat that day and a repeat would see him go very close today.

2 Residue John Henry Boulanger

The winner of three grade ones in dirt sprints, only at HRP would any trainer switch a horse to turf after a record like that. Surface can mean very little however and the perfect draw may give him a chance on a surface he isnt at his best on.

3 Linebacker Night Rider Stables Marquez C

Whilst some people can throw a horse like this at a race like this and go home licking their wounds this trainer has a knack of coming out smelling of roses and this one who won an allowance in 56.37 after being taken out of a claimer has every chance.

4 Phar Lap Threshold Feliciano R

Having taken one look at the jockey selections for this race the trainer saved this horse for another day.

5 Viking Natural Delta Farms Ferrer J C

Knocked up 4 in a row including a 56.31 win over this trip but failed when upped in grade last time and has something to prove today. His works are strong and he may just be the dark horse in the race.

6 Gleaming Spirit Mb Stables Centeno D

The BC Turf Sprint Champion is working faster than anything else, gets a lovely mid pack draw and is working faster than anything else in the field. Add those facts to the tracks leading jockey and the rest of the field may as well scratch…..but then again, those BC Champs are being beaten like an old carpet this year so you can never tell.

7 Eight One Chili King Stables Garcia W A

A good winner of an open claimer last time only at HRP would his next race be against the BC Champion. His works have gone from zero to hero so who knows maybe his form will too.

8 Pip Ferro Estero Farms Suarez A

Has won half of his career races but has never ventured beyond ungraded stakes. He is fast though and won in 56.27 last time out so must be taken very seriously indeed. A good run here and his next start must be in graded company.

9 Quickly Fractious Gallardo A

He will need to live up to his name in this competitive stakes race. He hasnt really looked up to much in sprints but is a tough and consistent sort but the draw may prove too tough.

10 Short And Sharp Hda Yazhayz Camacho

An admirable eight year old who has won eleven races, one feels this is either a swan song or the start of an amazing season.

11 Tony Lemon John Henry Morales P

Fast but takes a punt from a horrible draw and may need to wait for another day.

12 Primary Challenger Witeout Stables Clemente A

Ditto plus add the worst jockey in the race and Witeout Stables is just donating here.

SUMMARY

I have salt and pepper on the form book and will eat it with relish if the BC Champ gets beaten here. Viking Natural and Pip Ferro may chase him home.
