A fair sort in lower grade and fast in her works outs she gets a lovely draw but may find a couple of these too hot to handle.

2 Flying Nun Maxmillion Farm Boulanger

Won the Pucker Up Stakes last year over nine furlongs but was then campaigned in sprints after that. It would seem strange in real life but at HRP it doesnt seem to matter much what trip they race at and she looks just as effective over 5 furlongs. Working well and the perfect draw Maxmillion Farm may have won the lottery again now all they have to do is win the race.

3 Huzza John Henry Morales P

This was one of my favourite juveniles when she was two years old but her form fell away last year and today she is being thrown to the turf in the hope of one of those HRP miracles.

4 Royal Kunia Smokey Stover Centeno D

This filly is very fast and along with the top track jockey gets a lovely mid pack draw to use her tactical speed perfectly. Third in the BC Turf Sprint last year she won her seasonal debut in the Ladies Turf Sprint and looks ready for a big effort today.

5 Z Laffy One Ace Racing Stable Camacho

Improved from ten dollar claimers to stakes winner in 4 months and deserves her shot here. She doesnt get any favors so may have to improve more than she has to win this.

6 Gobekli Tepe Threshold Gallardo A

Scratched: Her trainer scratched this filly because for some reason despite earning almost twice as much as any other filly in the race she didnt receive any of her top 3 choice jockeys, add to that the visitors draw and there enough good reasons to try another day.

7 Right On Schedule Mb Stables Suarez A

The champion trainer gets the wide draw here with a filly that is more than capable of blitzing these. Not the best in the yard but plenty good enough but the jockey roulette and draw lottery seems to have robbed her of her winning chance.

SUMMARY

This looks set up for Royal Kunia to win but it wouldnt surprise me to see Flying Nun get very close to her today. If its one of ‘those’ races Right On Schedule could end up being a good bet.
