The Turf King Does It Again as Xmas Comes Early

The Manhattan – Grade I
1 1/4 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $1,000.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Xmas Snow Maxmillion Farm Gutierrez Mario

How many times have i written about a big turf race and talked about a winner from the Turf King Maxmillion farm. After a pretty disappointing season last year with just the one win this gelding has really turned it on this year winning two from three and two of the biggest turf races of the year in the Pegasus World Turf Cup and now the Manhattan. Getting the perfect trip from the perfect draw it will be interesting f he can continue this wonderful form from a wide gate but as yet in three starts he has had nothing but perfect draws so only time will tell us. Onward to the BC goes another top hope.

2nd So Lonely Diablo Diablo Garcia Mar

He is proving a little inconsistent this year but put his best foot forward today running on strongly to get second. After his win in the Elkhorn and now this effort he is doing very well as a four year old which isn’t easy to do and i feel there is plenty to come from him.

3rd Dead Madness John Henry Tunon M

Its not often the BC Turf Champion goes off at 15/1 after running a nose second from the same draw in the Forrester Turf Classic in his last start. Again forced up on the pace by his rotten draw he battled on bravely for third. Yet to win this year it could well be down to his luck with the draw so i wouldn’t be writing off his chances of a repeat in the BC come November.

4th Mucho Baked Spankys Barn Van Dyke D

Not a bad effort for a horse that was running in claimers this time last year although he couldn’t find much at the end of the race and may just be suited by nine rather than ten furlongs.
