2. Gran Coffee Party — Threshold / Lopez P — Odds: 6/1

Gran Coffee Party is lightly raced but has shown marked improvement in his two starts this year. He dominated a six-furlong turf maiden race in March, leading throughout and winning by six, then stepped directly into the PEN Mile-G3 and finished fifth after racing seventh early and advancing to sixth before the final call. That graded-stakes attempt was his strongest route performance to date, but he remains without a win beyond six furlongs. His upside and limited racing experience make him an intriguing contender, although another forward move is necessary.

3. Suspended — Mb Stables / Velazquez J R — Odds: 7/2

Suspended comes off a three-length maiden victory over 1 1/16 miles on the Woodbine turf, where he led at every call. Before that breakthrough, he competed in the Day Mile-G2, Wood Memorial-G2, and Gotham-G3 on dirt, finishing second in the Gotham and fifth in the Wood Memorial. His turf record of 6-1-2-2 demonstrates consistent production on the surface, and the latest victory confirmed that he handles today’s distance. The move from maiden company into a $200.000 stake is significant, but his graded experience and proven two-turn ability give him a legitimate chance.

4. Wealthy B Wonka — Mb Stables / Fresu A — Odds: 5/2

Wealthy B Wonka made his turf debut in the Pennine Ridge-G3 at Saratoga and finished third after leading through the first three calls. That was his only grass appearance, but it provided direct evidence that he can compete against graded company over today’s course and distance. Earlier in the year, he finished fourth in both the Wood Memorial-G2 and Fountain of Youth-G2 and third in the Withers-G3. He has yet to win in six starts this season, but his class experience and natural early speed make him a major win threat.

5. Empire Of Sod — Nakamura Stables / Santana R Jr — Odds: 4/1

Empire Of Sod has won four of seven starts in 2026 and enters with three consecutive turf victories. He won statebred allowance company over soft Aqueduct turf, followed with another allowance score at Monmouth, and most recently captured a one-mile optional claimer at Churchill Downs after progressing from fourth to first. His 6-4-1-1 turf record is excellent, and he has shown that he can perform from behind the early leaders rather than requiring command. This is his toughest class assignment, but his current winning form makes him dangerous.

7. Cracked Ginger — The Sidley Stud / Bridgmohan S X — Odds: 8/1

Cracked Ginger finished fifth in a six-furlong New York-bred stakes race at Aqueduct after holding fifth at each call. His best performance this year came on soft turf at Houston, where he advanced from sixth to win a one-mile allowance. He was also second in a one-mile turf stake at Houston in January, but finished fourth in the Black Gold and seventh over 1 3/8 miles at Turf Paradise. He has demonstrated some route ability, although his overall 7-1-1-0 turf record leaves him needing a stronger performance against this field.

Pace Structure & Race Outlook

Wealthy B Wonka appears to be the clearest early leader after setting every fraction in the Pennine Ridge-G3. Suspended also led throughout his latest 1 1/16-mile victory, while Gran Coffee Party controlled his maiden win at six furlongs. Those three could ensure that the pace is contested rather than leisurely.

New Yorks Finest has been most effective when positioned behind the leaders, including his Keeneland allowance victory. Empire Of Sod has also shown the ability to settle before advancing, which may give both runners favorable opportunities if the forward horses pressure one another.
