It looked before the race like this one would win and sure enough she did it well enough in the end. On the speed early she was settled in behind the speed as it took her on but always kept the leaders in sight before picking them up again when it mattered. One of last seasons top fillies she looks set for another successful year.

2nd   Rule Of Law        Hambletonian Stable  Ortiz I Jr
Made it three seconds in a  row but this one was much closer to her Matriarch winning form last year. Running on nicely she got inside a length of the winner in the end. A consistent sort a change of fortune must be close now.

3rd    On The Straight  Mb Stables                Colon L H
Stalked the lead and kept on well enough without quickening quite well enough. Third in the end i feel she needs further than the mile to bring her into races at this level.

4th    Saddle Happy     Our Athletes                Geroux F
Rousted up after the first quarter to take the lead he weakened late into fourth but was only beaten a length. A decent effort but she may still be just below graded stakes form.
