The Salvator Mile Grade 3
1 Mile on Dirt
Purse $150.00 For Three Year Olds And Upward.

Caveat Emptor from High Voltage has to be one of the top ten most frustrating horses of the past couple years. A consistently stellar work horse, he has only scored three times in forty-four trips postward while being the bridesmaid nine times. This race did not come up particularly strong, so he will again have his chance to shine. His best takes it, but that’s still a scary proposition at this juncture of the game. Knight Forgotten from The Sidley Stud is a totally different story than the top pick. Taken from the top barn in the country for a mere $12.50, he has rattled off two quick wins against an allowance cast and a $200 overnight stakes group. Razor sharp and still on the improve, “Knight” might be to sharp to turn back here. Kentucky Fox from Night Rider Stables is yet another runner from this barn that has been moved up the ladder quickly after a low initial purchase price. Taken for $14, he knocked off a field of NY State Bred stakes horses in March and earned a figure plenty good enough to play ball in here if duplicated. Big Bang Boom from Rock Creek is a past classer that has been responding when dropping down. This race is a guessing game and with this guy, even though his best days are in the rear view mirror, he could surprise a little here with a big effort. It doesn’t hurt at all that his flat mile runs have been solid on the drop. Food for thought in a race that could completely fall apart.
Of The Rest;
El Gran Cambio from Bears Stable is starting to get a little mileage on him and like his neighbor above, he has responded to some drops lately, a good old school training move. If the race falls apart, he could be in a good spot picking up some pieces. Check the tote for more clues.
Never Hold Back, also from The Sidley Stud is yet another older foe that has been responding to the drop. If his rider can get him to relax and make a good pace judgement, he might be able to get a piece, but I don’t see him toppling his razor sharp stablemate at this point.
Poisoned Apple from Santan Stables fits here in a general sense off the context of his last two races. He appears versatile and lightly raced as a five year old with only thirteen appearances. He will obviously need a career best effort and the facts remain that he only has one win and it wasn’t going two-turns.
Cinnamon Caviar from TwinTowers Racing has never won going two-turns and has spent most of his time dancing on the sod. His number last time in the slop was huge and he has run some races that offer hope. Still, demand solid value if you use him.
Daylight Ride from Martyparty ran decent enough in his first try for the new connections after a $30 purchase, However, he has never gone two-turns and draws the outside slot. It would take a monumental effort to get him to the winner’s circle Saturday and I just can’t see it.
