Wide-Open Regret Looks Like Anyone’s Race to Win

   8  CD   Regret (GIII)

$275.000      3yoF      11/8m  Turf      122lbs

It’s not the biggest field I’ve ever seen, but there is a ton of quality in the Regret (GIII), a mile and an eighth turf test for the sophomore fillies.  My picks dead-heated in the Edgewood (GII) over this course last out, and I’ll give the slight edge to Savvy Instinct.  She’s lightly raced, only making four starts, but she’s run like a monster for the big barn, so she lands my top choice.

Shot Of Summer ended on even terms with that one, last out, and she was closing like a freight train… the extra sixteenth should be calling her name.  Same story when she was third in the FL Oaks (GIII), closing fast in the late stages of that one… she’s a force.

The card likes Noble Party, another that is lightly raced with three wins from four starts, and this is her first jump into black-type, and Firewall… that one showing some very nice races, as well.  I think you get the picture, this is a very competitive group and it should be a fun one to watch.
