Gallivant Bounces Back in Tropical Turf Handicap

Tropical Turf Handicap – Grade III
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $100.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Gallivant, trained by Nakamura Stables
This is the second time i am writing about a wide drawn horse getting on the speed and holding on this weekend in a graded stakes. Its been like a switch was thrown and suddenly the wide draw speed push was an advantage. This win however was not a surprise but it was the first one of the season for this formerly promising type who had tried to make all unsuccessfully a few other times this year. whatever happened to get him to the post in first place today it was great to see him back in the winners circle after some good efforts that didnt quite live up to his three year old promise. I am pretty sure he will be a very nice five year old so look out for him next year.

2nd Hold The Mach, trained by Night Rider Stables
He won the race of the veterans  keeping on really strongly but just being held by the winner. He has been great this year and with the type of effort i dont see him slowing down anytime soon.

3rd A Crazed Frenzy, trained by Eastern Equine
He hasnt really raced in this grade with much success before but he is a tough consistent sort and he ran very well today to take third just a length back.

4th Private Sector, trained by Allinthegate
Stayed on well into fourth but never got in a serious blow, i think the mile was  a bit short for him and next season over a longer trip he may prove fairly useful.
