It was a big weekend of stakes action here in Elmont, NY, and the upsets ruled the weekend… we had another in The Bold Ruler (GIII) as Angelos Stables’ Hollywood Revolution, sent off at 12/1 odds, was never far from the pace, pushed by late and took the win by a length.  It was a bang-bang-bang finish for the minor spots as pace-setter Fire And Rain tried to run off and hide, but settled for the second spot by a nose over Mr Charming in third then First Man the same distance back in fourth.  The final running time was 1:211 for the seven furlongs on the main track, listed as fast.  That is a new stakes record for the distance.

Hollywood Revolution is a 4yo gelded son of fancy Moon – Jasmine Revolution, by HRP-Hyperion, and he was bred in Cal by Langley Farms.  Acquired by Angelos Stable via private purchase for $55.000 back in July, he now shows four wins from twenty-one starts, this is his second win of the year, and he now has $301.120 in lifetime earnings.  Congrats to the connections!

Hollywood Revolution raced just in behind the pace, moved up into the lane, level terms with leader at the sixteenth pole, pulled away.  Fire And Rain broke sharp, lead to inside the final sixteenth, headed, hung on for the place.  Mr Charming stalked 3p, swung 5p for the drive, gaining late.  First Man rated back well off of the pace, moved up 5p through the turn, best foot too late.  Settle The Score Vr raced second flight between horses, no excuse.  Dont Worry Be Jolly sat just behind the pace to the top of the lane, tired.  Local Dude lacked early interest, passed tiring rivals widest in the lane.  Forever Thirsty tracked the pace 3p to the lane, tired.  Asset Angel was not a factor.  Sunderland Til I Die was not involved.  Day Of Black ground saving trip, tired.
