Fabulous Angelina may not only be talented, but she may have a cult following and have reignited her sires career, according to forum chatter.  The luke-warm post time favorite was never far away from the lead, made her move when it counted and got the win by a length in Saturday’s Royal Delta (GIII) by a length in a final time of 1:41.99
for the mile and a sixteenth main-track event.  Stellar Wind forced the action throughout and was second with 14/1 Puddle Jumper in third.

The field was away from the gate and a very short run into the first turn with Puddle  Jumper on the early accelerator, Stellar Wind giving chase, Scarlet Horn on the inside of
that one, Happy Thoughts from the far outside, Fabulous Angelina from the rail.  Techno Cheryl was next, Neds Assets out wide, drop back to the inside for Ancient Royalty, a gap to Commanding Lady and Conversion was the early trailer.

Now making their way down the backside and four furlongs to run, Puddle Jumper was on cruise control in front by three.  Stellar Wind tracking the leader then a gap of three back to Techno Cheryl, Fabulous Angelina between horses and Scarlet Horn on the rail.  Happy Thoughts in behind that trio and racing wide, a gap to Neds Assets on the outside of Ancient Royalty between horses and Conversion last on the rail.

Around the far turn and to the top of the lane with a furlong left to run, Puddle Jumper still in front but the lead was dwindling as Stellar Wind was now in hot pursuit, Fabulous Angelina fanning out and in full stride, now a close up third, Scarlet Horn cutting the corner with Techno Cheryl on her outside.  Happy Thoughts even wider and trying to advance, then a threesome of Ancient Royalty, Commanding Lady between horses and Neds Assets from the outside, and Conversion was still the back marker.

Deep stretch and to the wire, three across the track for a brief moment, then Fabulous Angelina kicking clear and moving on for the win.  Stellar Wind continuing on well to nab the second spot and Puddle Jumper tiring by her own pace and finishing third. Commanding Lady was fourth, Scarlet Horn edging out Neds Assets by the slimmest of margins for fifth, Ancient Royalty in seventh, Happy Thoughts was eighth, Techno Cheryl in ninth and Conversion in tenth.

Fabulous Angelina is a 4yo filly by Zero Return – Skettel, by God O War, and she was bred by Night Rider Stables in ON.  She was acquired by Allinthegate via private purchse in June of ’18 and she has been a tough filly since then, wining five races including a pair of graded races.  Her earnings now stand at $387.280.

Fabulous Angelina  broke in hand, sat patiently until asked, responded, pulled away late.  Stellar Wind
tracked the pace from the start, had every chance, could not respond to the winner.  Puddle Jumper  showed good speed throughout, tired in the late stages.  Commanding Lady was outrun early, steady gain when asked, closed a late gap.  Scarlet Horn  broke well, settled back, no response.  Neds Assets raced mid-pack, never a threat.  Ancient Royalty was never involved, outrun.  Happy Thoughts flashed early speed, stopped. Techno Cheryl broke well, tracked up close, tired.  Conversion trailed throughout.
