Sillian With Big Win in The Buena Vista

The Buena Vista Stakes – GII
SA Race 6 1M – Turf
Purse $200.000
Four Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares

1st Sillian, trained by D J C Racing Stables

Now this right here was kind of a shocker to me because I definitely didn’t see this filly winning. She ran a very big race and definitely upset this field pretty good. She sat a stalking trip most of the way and then kicked it on in the stretch to get the win. She ran the distance in 1:33.38 and earned $120.000 for the win.

2nd On The Square, trained by Crocker Ggs

If there is anything that is obvious with this filly it is that the switch to the turf has been the right choice because she ran another very good race in here to only get beat by a length by the winner. She sat a nice stalking trip the entire way and fended off the other behind her to hold on for the runner up spot.

3rd Moonlight Bliss, trained by Fractious

Once again this filly ran another hard knocking in the money finish with a nice little closing trip. She sat about midpack early on and then made up some ground late to get up for this third place finish. She was only beaten a length by the winner so she was pretty close to the winner.

4th Twinny, trained by Maxmillion Farm

Well this filly right here also did not run a bad race at all to run fourth and only get beat a length by the winner. She was near last early on and made a pretty nice run late to make up so ground and squeeze into the money. She ran a pretty good race to run fourth.

Summary

Well Sillian ran a big race in here and surprised me for sure with this win. I honestly think that this could be her coming out party because she is on the improve I think. She might be headed for bigger and better things if she improves off of this win. Congratulations to Sillian and D J C Racing Stables on the win.
