Display Stakes
$125.00 For Two Year Olds
7 Furlongs – Dirt
Woodbine – October 11, 2026
In the preview for the Display Stakes we noted that Electric Scooter might welcome a wet track. It rained and the track came up good. Electric Scooter came up good too. Better than good. We had also noted that the race seemed wide open for its nineteenth running but no one told the winner as he ran a dominating race and came home a very convincing winner.
Winner: Electric Scooter
Owner/Trainer: Caseys Llc
Jockey: S. Civaci
Breeder: Broken Spoke Stables (Tex) – Sunshine Scooter/Marie Laveau (Winter Warrior)
The two year-old gelding had running on his mind as soon as he heard the bell. He came out of gate 10 and went right up to the front intent on setting the pace. He was joined by and headed briefly by the like minded Propane from post eight. Electric Scooter began to separate himself from his early rival and the rest of the field at the half way point. He had daylight on the field as they turned for home and looked like the easiest of winners. The closers began to cut into his margin as they neared the wire but there was not enough distance left for anyone to scare the winner.
Second: Sinissippi Smokin
Owner/Trainer: Noblepark
Jockey: D. Moran
Breeder: Noblepark (Ky) – Sinissippi Star/Poison Smoke (Poison Devils)
In contrast to the winner, Sinissippi Smokin was content to take his time and settle towards the back of the field running in ninth in the early going. He was still only seventh as they approached the homestretch and had a lot of work to do to gain a placing. He was taken to mid track for the stretch run and found his top gear with a furlong left and close best of the field to gain second place approaching the winner only in the very last strides.
Third: Prime Suspect
Owner/Trainer: Delta Farms
Jockey: L. Salles
Breeder: Delta Farms (Pa) – Irvine/Mo Ki Authority (Jinxed Authority)
He was placed in midpack and allowed to travel comfortably in that position before really being asked to run halfway through the far turn. He traveled about five wide before moving even further out at the top of the stretch. The wide position may have cost him second place as Sinissippi Smokin had the better positioning throughout the stretch. Closed well in a good effort.
Fourth: Prince Bodhi
Owner/Trainer: Hammelot Farm
Jockey: R.W. Walcott
Breeder: Hammelot Farm (WV) – Essential/Chef Ruby (Crossing The Rubicon)
Had the far outside post but was not rushed and was taken back next to last down the backstretch. Moving into the far turn he was still in that position and was not showing much interest. He hit another gear approaching the quarter mile pole and his momentum carried him widest of all at the top of the stretch where he was still in ninth position. He gained steadily throughout the stretch drive and picked up the final check. Look forward to seeing him going more distance.
Preview Pick: Buescher – Finished a fading tenth in his first off track effort.
This was the first Display Stakes win for both Caseys Llc and jockey S. Civaci. This was the second stakes win of any kind for Caseys Llc with the new barn doing very well in their debut season. Electric Scooter has made good on his $10.00 auction price gaining his first stakes win and pushing his career earnings to a total of $103.60. He is the first stakes winner from the six year old mare Marie Laveau.
